What is a polypay sheep and why you should raise
them?
polypays were created to maximize profits in
the sheep flock. They were created using Rambouillet, tar
ghee, Finn, and Dorset blood lines. polypay ewes are a
medium sized, early maturing, and productive. By maturing
early, polypay ewes have lambs on the ground at 1 year of
age when other breeds are first being bred. polypay ewes
are known for multiple births, easy lambing, excellent
mothering and fast growing lambs. Year round lambing allows
you to better utilize your facilities, decreasing overhead
costs and increasing profits. polypays have a gentle, easy
going temperament. They are not hard to fence or work
